A very detail book of the collection of Indian Artifacts owned by the late archaeologist, Dr. Ben C. McCary. This was the largest private collection of Indian Artifacts from Virginia, with over 300 Clovis, Cumberland and Folsom Points. Great reference book! Lots of pictures of points, clovis points, beads, shell, axes, bannerstones, gorgets, etc. A very limited number has been printed!

The collection of Indian Artifacts owned by the late archaeologist Dr. Ben C. McCary of Williamsburg, Virginia was the largest private collection ever assembled in the Commonwealth of Virginia. Dr. McCary was born in Alberene, Virginia on February 19, 1901.

Ben McCary started collecting Indian Relics at about the age of 9 in Alberbe Virginia and continued collecting until his death in 1995 at the age of 94. At his death he would leave one of the largest and most painstaking cataloged collections of American Indian materials in the Eastern United States

This book documents the largest collection of Indian Relics ever assembled in Virginia and introduces the reader to the McCary's and to the new owners of the collection.
